Dr Cesar Mota
Dr. Mota has a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University (USA, 2006), an MSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada (USA, 2001) and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (Brazil, 1998). He is currently a Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and coordinates projects funded by the UK Prosperity Fund and Brazilian research councils. His research interests are in the area of Water Quality Engineering, with emphasis on biotechnology for water and wastewater treatment, sustainable, low-cost water/wastewater treatment processes and valorization of wastes. Before joining UFMG, Dr. Mota was a Lecturer at Newcastle University (UK), School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, from 2007 to 2012, where he coordinated several projects funded by the Royal Society (UK) and the European Commission (FP7 Programme).
